Chestnut Tree House

We were first told about Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice by one of their Patrons, Jodie Kidd, who explained how the charity support children and families through some of their toughest moments. At Grace’s Blankets, we are all about family and friendship, so working with Jodie and supporting a charity like Chestnut Tree House feels like a natural fit.

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and South East Hampshire, caring for children and young people with life-shortening conditions, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

From providing specialist care to fun activities, Chestnut Tree House is a place for kids to have fun and create precious memories; where parents can just be parents, not carers; and where siblings have people to talk to who understand. And, when the time comes, Chestnut Tree House is there to help families say goodbye, in whatever way feels right for them, either at home or in the hospice itself. They offer ongoing bereavement support for the whole family.

We have pledged to donate 5% of every blanket sale to Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice, which means that your purchase today could pay for a personalised activity and craft pack for a child. It could help to pay for a child to experience a magical hour in the multi-sensory room. For a nurse to visit a child in their own home to provide some respite and support for the family. For a sibling or parent to receive counselling and support.

Your support will make a real difference to children with life-shortening conditions and their families, now and in the future. Thank you.
